App Center Gives One-Click Access to Canvas LMS Extensions -- THE Journal - 0 views

  • Instructure has formally launched a new tool that allows users to add third-party extensions to its flagship LMS, Canvas, with a single click.
  • access to several dozen apps — more than 100, as of this writing — including Dropbox, Evernote, Khan Academy, WordPress, and others
  • Some of the software is free, some paid

    This is for the LMS Canvas, that I heard about at PETE&C, as a solution that works well on iOS devices. More details can be found on their website http://www.instructure.com/

Lumosity Education Access Program Application - 0 views

    I've played some of the free Lumosity brain training games. Now they are accepting applications for teachers to get licenses for their class. There are more details and the research behind the move on the Lumosity blog http://www.lumosity.com/blog/were-helping-students-leap-ahead/

    I've actually read through the entire application now. There are some components that are not feasible for my district based on policy. So, it might not be a match for your school, but it is still worth checking out.
